The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 196 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. Four Rivers Co-op invites applications for the position of Assistant Petroleum Manager.

Four Rivers Co-op is currently recruiting for an Assistant Petroleum Manager for the Petroleum Division.  Our co-operative also operates a Food Store, Home Centre and a Gas Bar/Convenience Store in Vanderhoof and an Agro/Convenience Store in Quesnel. Along with our Vanderhoof location we also have three other bulk petroleum locations (Prince George, Quesnel and Houston) with a fleet of 16 petroleum delivery units and 15 cardlock locations,

Reporting to the Petroleum Manager:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Four Rivers Co-op’s high standards for customer service
  • Maintaining existing customer base while building new customer relations
  • Receiving fuel, balancing litres, approving invoices and other associated petroleum paperwork
  • Working co-operatively with team members
  • Dispatching fuel trucks to various sites
  • Ensuring high standard of cleanliness and maintenance of cardlocks and delivery units.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of people,
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills,
  • Adaptable, organized, efficient and committed,
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands,
  • Knowledgeable about the industry and business trends,
  • A commitment to quality and an eye for detail,
  • Appropriate computer skills and technical knowledge,
  • Experience with planning, budgeting and operating statements,
  • Experience in retail in a similar position.
