The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 190 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services.  Pioneer Co-op is hiring a Senior Human Resources Manager at our Administration Office in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

What you will do:
You will be responsible for leading the Human Resources function for our retail. You will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives in the organization and providing input into the development of organizational HR strategies. You will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure consistent alignment of HR programs and practices across the organization.
• Talent Management: You contribute to the development and implementation of various talent management initiatives. Leading a team of human resources professionals, you are responsible for mentoring and guiding team members to ensure engagement, competency development, and professional growth.
• Employee and Labour Relations: You are responsible for overseeing the collective bargaining process including participating in negotiations and collaborating with key stakeholders in the development and implementation of negotiation strategies that align with the business’s future direction and needs. You have current working knowledge of legislation, labour and employment law, human rights legislation, and related areas.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Human Resources and:
• You have an undergraduate degree in HR, administration, business, or commerce.
• You have 8+ years of HR experience with 4+ years at a management level.

• You understand that having a CPHR designation is an asset.
• You have a broad general knowledge of human resources practices with experience in a unionized environment.
• You are committed to taking action to continuously improve and broaden your capabilities.
• You continuously scan your organization, competition, and marketplace for current and future policies, trends, and information.
• You are able to identify and capitalize on opportunities for synergy and integration.
