The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 190 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. Meadow Lake Co-op welcomes applications for a positive and enthusiastic Human Resources Advisor to be located at the Meadow Lake Administration Office.
What you’ll do
Reporting to the Operations / Human Resources Manager, you will contribute to providing leadership in Human Resources Advisory services  in a diverse number of areas such as: talent acquisition & onboarding; talent management; employee engagement; training & development, investigations, employee relations, and total rewards. Facilitating and presenting training and informational sessions to both small and large groups will also be a requirement.
You will also, on a need be basis, provide support and technical services to the Marketing Department.
In the Human Resource Advisor role you will be required excel in all areas of advising, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, positivity and reliability. As a brand ambassador, you will model “living the brand” everyday through our Mission Statement and values of Teamwork, Responsibility, Service and Community.

• You are proficient in public speaking to both small and large groups.
• You have formal education in Human Resources
• You have formal education or experience in business marketing.
• You have 1-3 years of experience in providing advisory services in the areas of Human Resources, Total Rewards, or related areas
• You have experience handling all confidential matters with discretion
• You have experience at an intermediate level in Word, Excel & Outlook and Social Media
• You have knowledge of Saskatchewan employment legislation
• You will ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulations
• A CPHR designation would be an asset
• Some accounting-related knowledge would be an asset
• Please note you will be required to undergo a Criminal Record Check for this position.
