The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 250 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. Retail Co-op's across Manitoba invite applications for the position of Agronomist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing crop protection and soil management services to local farmers. The Agronomist may also conduct market analysis and provide field seminars and demonstrations. There will also be extensive involvement in direct sales calls.
The ideal candidate will be interested and preferably have experience in Retail Agro Marketing/Management and must possess a degree or diploma in Agriculture, majoring in Agronomy, Plant Sciences or Soils. The individual must be a self-starter, have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
