We invite applications for the position of Bakery Team Leader at our new Timberlands store who will be responsible for overseeing all business aspects of the Bakery regarding:
• Customer Service
• Health and Safety
• Leadership to the team of approximately 8 employees in a “scratch” Bakery
• Sales, margins, expenses, and inventory
• Anticipated first year Bakery sales of $.8M
• Ensuring that all merchandising and production standards, department recruitment, performance management and employee training standards are maintained
• Ensuring that claims, invoices and all other administrative paperwork is completed in a timely manner

Reporting to the Timberlands Food Centre Manager, this position requires a strong retail Bakery management background.  We are looking for candidates that also possess the following competencies:

• Strong work ethic
• A drive to deliver exceptional customer service through living our brand
• Journeyman Baker Certification/Food Safety experience
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Quality communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to grow sales


The successful candidate will possess previous Bakery management experience, as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.  Preference will be given to those candidates with previous or current experience in the Co-operative Retailing System.
