Otter Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Deli Supervisor at our Retail Center located at: 3650 248th Street, Aldergrove.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Supervisor is responsible for coaching, training, scheduling and leading team members while making safety a top priority in carrying out daily job duties.  Reporting to the Deli Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:


• Assist to organize, direct and co-ordinate the activities and operations of the department.
• Assist in managing department inventory and staff scheduling.
• Supervise, train, resolve conflicts and coach Deli team members.
• Ensure that food in the hot deli is fresh and the area is kept clean and well stocked.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
• Ensure safe food handling and safety guidelines are properly implemented and followed. 
• Provide excellent customer service and customer service resolution to guests in a courteous, efficient manner and within approved programs, policies and procedures.
• Operate the cash register and other equipment as required.
• Contribute to leading and inspiring the team to the 4 Keys to Excellence
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum two years supervisory experience required, preferably in a deli or restaurant.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple demands, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Motivation and ability to work in a busy work environment is required.
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
• Must be available 7 days a week between 6:00 am- 8:00 pm.
