Prairie Co-op is looking for a Hardware Supervisor to join our Home Centre team in Melville, Saskatchewan.

DUTIES
The Hardware Supervisor is responsible for supervising all hardware staff on a daily basis, monitoring safety compliance procedures, implementing staff training plan, and providing staff performance reviews. This position assumes the overall responsibilities of the Hardware Manager in his/her absence. The main duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure all hardware staff maintain acceptable levels of customer service with an excellent attitude, provide appropriate information, assistance and service to customers, promote the sale of merchandise, and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
• Schedule, implement and follow up on safety procedures including daily inspections and toolbox meetings. Monitor safety procedures, address concerns and conduct safety incident investigation in a timely manner. 
• Develop, update and implement a yearly Hardware Staff Training Plan for new and existing hardware staff.
• Provide information, on-the-job training, instructions and coaching to hardware staff to ensure they are fully equipped with the required knowledge and skills to perform their various daily duties.
• Ensure self-development is planned for and the initiative is taken to improve own knowledge, skills and ability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Hardware Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Outstanding communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide effective instructions to team members and hold them accountable
• Ability to provide effective on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching to team members.
• Ability to implement safety procedures, monitor compliance, address concerns and investigate incidents.
