Southland Co-op is looking for a Confidential Secretary focusing on Marketing & Community Relations to join our leadership team at our Administration Office in Assiniboia. We are seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and energetic individual who will be a key member of the administration team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.
• Implement marketing programs and initiatives in the organization.
• Assist with the development of organizational marketing and community relations strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership team to ensure consistent alignment of marketing and community relations programs and practices across the organization.
• Ensure Co-op brand is represented in all advertising and promotional material as per FCL Co-op Brand Strategy Guidelines.
• Co-ordinate annual member relations/marketing budget.
• Develop and implement the Co-op’s social media strategy.
• Work closely with Team Leaders to focus on community engagement with charitable organizations and community groups that most closely reflect our corporate values and strategies.
• Develop strategies to promote and maximize the use of FCL sponsored community relations programs.
• Develop strategies to promote Co-op’s sustainability and social responsibility efforts.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote Kids’ Club.
• Ensure self-development is planned for and the initiative is taken to improve skills, knowledge and attitude.
• To assist with monitoring and collection of accounts receivable.
• To assist with general administration and serve as Confidential Secretary to the Board of Directors.

• Diploma in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in marketing or office administration.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of social media marketing.
